Modified Granola Bars II
I have some fun new variations for that soaked granola bar recipe. This is fun!
Cappuccino bars- Add 1 tbsp. very well ground coffee (like for espresso) to dry mix. When all ingredients are combined, melt 10 oz. vegan marshmallows in a pan and add to granola mix, spreading on pan quickly and bake as usual.
Banana split bars- Add 2 oz. dried strawberries, bananas, and pineapple to mix (I used the pouch of Gerber baby bites Strawberry/Banana from Wal-Mart and just cut dried pineapple thin. I'm looking for organic dried strawberries). Add Enjoy Life chocolate chips and 1/2 cup shredded coconut.
Apple pie bars- Add 1 cup dried, diced apples and 1 tsp. nutmeg, and substitute maple syrup with apple juice.
Turtle bars- Add soaked cashews, pecans, or peanuts to mix (about 1 cup). After bars are cooked, do not cut. Allow to cool a few minutes, and pour a bag of Enjoy Life chocolate chips on top, spreading to coat as they melt. Wait until completely cooled and hardened to cut.
