The Difference a Vowel Makes

GARY:(looking quizzically in the pot simmering on the stove) What are you making?
AMY: Soap.
GARY: What kind?
AMY: Lemongrass and oatmeal. It's what I had on hand.
GARY: Is it supposed to be cloudy?
AMY: It's frothy because I just whisked it. It will clarify more when it cools.
GARY: It smells kind of funny.
AMY: That's the lemongrass. It'll be good for allergies, though.
GARY: I guess if you can get past the smell.
AMY: Well the smell will also disipate with age and....... (shocked) what are you doing?!?
GARY: I was just going to taste it.
AMY: WHY!?!?!?!?!?!?
GARY: Do you want me to wait for dinner?
AMY: DINNER? I'm making laundry soap!
GARY: WHAT?!? I thought you said soup. No wonder it looks weird and smells funny.
AMY: What did you think I meant about being good for allergies?
GARY: I guess kinda like chicken soup is good for colds. And that smell cleaned out my sinuses.
AMY: I'm going to have to be careful not to leave any unlabeled pots sitting around. You're liable to put the soap flakes in your tea.
